Everspin and MaxLinear to evalaute next-generation MRAM architectures for AI servers

Everspin Technologies announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with MaxLinear, Inc., a provider of high-performance connectivity and storage acceleration solutions, to evaluate next-generation memory architectures designed to improve efficiency and performance in AI servers.

Everspin says that as AI models and inference workloads continue to grow, increased demands are driving interest in new approaches that combine persistent memory, acceleration and compression to improve performance, power efficiency and infrastructure utilization.

 

The MOU establishes a framework for the companies to evaluate the use of Everspin's persistent, low-latency MRAM technology with MaxLinear's storage compression, encryption and hardware acceleration platform. The work will focus on metadata management, log data, write buffering and cache functions, as well as other data-intensive workloads, with the goal of improving responsiveness, reliability and data persistence in next-generation server architectures.

Everspin recently reported excellent financial results, reporting a recovery in customer demand. The company also entered into a $40 million defense subcontract agreement with Amentum Services to support the US government's RDT&E program.
